Q: How often should you do ear irrigation?

A: It would depend on each person, how often you have problems with earwax. Symptoms of earwax buildup include: pain or itching in the ear, ringing in the ear and partial hearing loss. Any time you have these symptoms, you should irrigate your ears. However, too much cleaning may dry out the sensitive skin in your ears. So, recommended cleaning ears no more than 1 or 2 times per week.

 

Q: I keep hearing to use ”warm water”, I have a digital thermometer available. Any temperature recommendations?

A: This is really about your preference. Normally you can use warm water as hot as you like your shower water, what is comfortable on your skin? We recommend using the water temperature is 37 degrees Celsius or body temperature, plus or minus 2 degrees, normal tap water is fine. Note the warm water should not warm enough to hurt.

 

Q: I'm kind of scared to use it, anyone else experience anxiety about this? I’m unsure if this product is right for me.

A: A little anxiety when trying new things is normal. Just a few steps to assure you about it:

If possible, you can doing an otoscopic examination the ear canal and eardrum.

If you find earwax that needs to be removed, you should ask some basic questions to confirm that ear cleaning irrigation system is the right tool to remove the earwax.

  1. Do you have a history of 10 panic or eardrum perforations or have you had a perforation in the last year?
  2. Are you experiencing pain in either of your ears?
  3. Have you ever had any surgeries on your ear?

 If the answer to either of these questions is yes, you should consult an ear specialist before using the ear irrigation system.

If the tympanic membrane is compromised in any way the ear irrigation system should not be used.

Once you've make sure you are good for irrigation you can get this product ready to use. We recommend sitting down and using warm water, normal tap water is fine. Take a deep breath and slowly put the tip on ear canal and start cleaning your ears. The relief from itchy or clogged ears makes it worth it in the end.

 

Q: Can someone help me on how to use it? I’m unsure how to use this product.

A: Step 1, Use normal tap water that is warm or at body temperature. 

Step 2, Attach a disposable ear tip on the nozzle end.

Step 3, Place the ear catch basin under earlobe and put the ear tip gently on ear canal of the person whose ears are being cleaned.

Step 4, Turn on the BOCOOLIFE and press on/off button to start ear irrigation.

Step 5, The built-in optical lens(Magnifier) offers a clear view of the ear canal for observation and prevents water from splashing during the irrigating.

Step 6, Make sure that the person receiving the irrigation does not feel discomfort. Then press Mode button to  increase the water flow as the cleaning progresses.

Step 7, The blockage gone and finish ear irrigating.

It's as easy as that! 

Tips:

  1. It’s recommended to apply the ear drops/ear wax softener to soften the waxfor hard earwax before irrigation.
  2. You may feel a full sensation of water in the ear and turbulence, it’s normal to feel pressure but not pain.
  3. Recommended that ear tip insert into ear canal no more than 4 to 5 millimeters or about a quarter of an inch.
  4. Move the tip in multiple directions using a circular motion in the ear canal, this helps to loosen and dislodge the earwax.
  5. You will have a better experience if your friend or family could help you with this!

 

Q: Does the electricear washing device comes with bottle empty and I just add water ?

A: Yes. The bottle comes empty and you should fill it with plain warm water.

 

Q: Can I buy the disposable ear tips for this product?

Q: Does the wax just fall out? I don’t know if it’s doing anything.

A: Everyone is different in terms of the amount of earwax buildup they might have. Successful ear cleaning is determined by visible chunks of ear wax left in the ear cleaning basin, and verification with a visual inspection through an otoscope. Another indicator of success is the patient's immediate relief, and/or the ability to hear clearly again.

 

Q: I’ve used handheld spray bottle on impacted ears. And it had me in excruciating pain. Is this product safe?

A: It shouldn't hurt to use the BOCOOLIFE Electric Ear Cleaning Irrigation System, its irrigation system that deliver a safe and effective electrically powered stable water flow to remove earwax with warm water, faster and safer. Q: Why do you have to be seated?

A: Some people may experience a little dizziness and will feel a full sensation of water in the ear and turbulence. That might feel a little discomfort. Some people feels normal. It was recommended in case you get dizzy. 

 

 Q: Can I use this on kids?

A: Yes, you can use BOCOOLIFE Electric Ear Cleaning Irrigation kit on kids, note it should do under adults supervision. Ensure there’s no tympanic, eardrum perforations, pain, or any surgeries on ears, if unsure, you should consult a physician.
